How to read every region rule

A rule applies to all cell values inside its colored region, even when a paired tile crosses from one region into another.

Exact sum (= n)

Add every score in the region. The total must equal the printed target exactly.

Greater or less (> n / < n)

The region total must sit strictly above or below the target; equality does not satisfy the rule.

All equal (=)

Every cell in the region must show the same score, regardless of which paired tile supplies it.

All different (≠)

No two cells in that region may share a score. Blank regions accept any value.

Deduction strategy

Turn region rules into forced placements

The solver can reveal every answer, but the stronger learning path is to predict a placement first and use the assistant only to verify the smallest uncertain step.

A paired tile can cross two colored regions. Always test both halves against both rules before deciding that a placement is possible.

Start with exact pairs

An equal region or a small exact sum usually rejects more tiles than a broad greater-than rule.

Check extreme values

A 0 or 6 strongly affects small less-than and large greater-than targets, making these tiles easier to place.

Use crossing constraints

When one half satisfies a region but the other half breaks its neighbor, the entire placement is impossible.

Track remaining cells

After a tile is placed, recalculate each touched region and note the exact score still required.

Delay flexible regions

A blank or wide comparison region accepts many values, so solve it after more restrictive areas.

Reveal minimally

Click one cell or use Reveal next instead of exposing the whole board, then continue the deduction yourself.

Quality Grid Solver FAQ

Does this tool solve a third-party daily puzzle?+

No. All boards, values, regions, labels, and explanations are original and themed around face swap quality review. The tool does not import or reproduce a commercial daily puzzle.

What do the numbers represent?+

They are fictional inspection-strength scores from 0 to 6. They exist only for the logic exercise and are not generated from a real photo.

How do I reveal a placement?+

Click a paired tile in the tray, click any empty board cell, or use Reveal next. Each action exposes only one correct paired placement.

Can I remove a revealed tile?+

Yes. Click either its tray card or one of its occupied board cells again. Reset board removes every placement without changing difficulty.

Are easy, medium, and hard the same board?+

No. Each level has a different grid size, tile set, region layout, and mix of constraints. Changing level resets current progress.

Can this grid determine whether an image is fake?+

No. It teaches constraint reasoning only. Authenticity decisions require source context, provenance, metadata, and careful visual or forensic review.
