Lock exact positions
Enter letters only where both identity and position are certain. Blank boxes remain unconstrained.
Set known positions, required letters, wrong positions, exclusions, and repeats. The solver narrows an original vocabulary of image-quality, anatomy, workflow, and safety terms entirely in your browser.

How it works
Each field adds a transparent rule. The result list updates immediately, so you can see which clue removed candidates and correct contradictory assumptions before the next guess.
Enter letters only where both identity and position are certain. Blank boxes remain unconstrained.
Use included letters when a character belongs in the word but its final position is not yet known.
A misplaced rule keeps the letter while rejecting one known-bad position, which is more precise than a simple include list.
Absent letters eliminate every candidate containing them. Add repeat rules only when the evidence supports a duplicate.
Search strategy
A useful solver should explain the search space, not merely return one convenient answer. Apply the strongest evidence first and leave uncertain information out.
Correct positions usually eliminate more candidates than a long list of included letters.
Do not place the same letter in both correct and absent fields; the solver will correctly return no matches.
A gray duplicate does not always mean the letter is absent. Use minimum repeat only when at least two copies are confirmed.
If the clue concerns lighting, LIGHT or SHADE is more plausible than an anatomy term with the same pattern.
The recommendation row counts untested letters across current candidates and helps choose an informative next probe.
When the list reaches zero, remove the least certain constraint first instead of clearing the entire search.
Questions and answers
No. It searches a curated vocabulary related to face swapping, AI image quality, anatomy, lighting, workflow, artifacts, and responsible sharing. This tighter scope keeps the tool relevant to the rest of the site.
A correct letter is fixed in one position. A misplaced letter must appear somewhere in the word but cannot occupy the position you select.
Two constraints probably conflict, or the intended term is not in the curated glossary. Check absent letters first, then remove the least certain misplaced-position rule.
Choose a letter and minimum count when you know the answer contains two or more copies. Repeating a character in the included field also creates a minimum count.
